An Opportunity is a vacancy in your organization that needs to be filled as part of your talent mapping exercise and/or your redeployment initiative. Talent Maps are composed of Opportunities.
Adding an Opportunity
1. To add an Opportunity, navigate to the Opportunities tab and click on Add Opportunity.
2. Importing a Match Criteria
You can search your Match Criteria catalogue by name. Please note that you can always create the Map without Match Criteria and add it later. In that case, the Opportunity will display No Match Criteria in the Key Dimensions column of your Opportunity. You can find more information about adding, editing and viewing a Match Criteria inside an Opportunity here.
3. Determining an Internal and an External Name for your Opportunity
You can decide to have different internal and external Opportunity names, for confidentiality or classification purposes. The external name will be the one that your employees will see when they are invited to share their Opportunity Interest.
4. Entering the Number of Openings for your Opportunity
The default number of openings prompted by the platform is 1. The number of openings is a mandatory field to create an Opportunity, however it does not serve as a cap. You are welcome to place more employees than the pre-set number of openings in the Opportunities, as need be. The Opportunity would then simply display as a higher number of Filled openings on the total of Openings.
Editing an Opportunity
You can edit an Opportunity by clicking on the More Options Menu on the right hand side of the Opportunity row, and then selecting Edit.
Removing an Opportunity from a Map
You can remove an Opportunity from a Map by clicking on on the Opportunity row and selecting Remove.
