In this article, we will address the three following points:
- Enabling the Capture Member Interest feature
- Publishing Opportunities to the Members' Profile Pages
- Removing/Unpublishing the Opportunities from the Members’ profile pages
Talent Maps are a smart and agile matching tool that enable you to perform complex talent management decisions supported by reliable data. They allow you to easily, quickly, and intelligently map many employees and opportunities together for employee deployment or redeployment initiatives. Within a Map, Admins can publish Opportunities to Members’ Profile Pages, to gather employee interest on the Opportunities in that Map.
To collect Opportunity Interest, you must first enable the Capture Member Interest feature, and then publish the opportunities to the member’s Profile page.
1) How Do I Enable the Talent Map to Publish Opportunities to Members’ Profile Pages?
In Maps, navigate to the Add Map button and select the Capture Member Interest checkbox. This action will enable the Opportunity Interest capability in the Map.
Please note that if you do not want to Capture Member Interest at the time of the creation of the Map, you can always edit this feature at a later date in the Info tab of the Map, by clicking on Edit.
2) How Do I Publish Opportunities to a Member’s Profile Page?
In the Opportunities tab of the Talent Map, click on Publish to Members’ Profiles.
To confirm the publishing process, click on the Publish button.
After confirming, you will notice that the publish date is now displayed below the Add Opportunity button. A link is provided that can be shared with the Members of the Talent Map. This link will direct the Members to the Opportunities tab of their Profile, where they will be able to view and indicate their interest in this Map’s Opportunities. Please note that Members do not receive an email notification when they are invited to share their Opportunity Interest. This can be managed through an internal communication workflow, enabled by sharing the Share with Members link.
Read this article to get a glimpse at what employees will see in their Plum Profile when they are invited to share their Opportunity Interest.
The feedback provided by Members in their Profile page is automatically displayed in the Map Tab of the Talent Map.
3) How Do I Remove/Unpublish the Opportunities from the Members’ Profile Pages?
Once the gathering interest period has passed, Map Opportunities can be removed from Members’ Profile pages using the Unpublish feature. In the Opportunities Tab, click on Unpublish From Members’ Profiles.
Click on the Unpublish button to confirm the action.
