Some or all of your jobs may be managed by an API (Application Programming Interface) integration that your company has built. Your API integration can lock and unlock jobs based on how your team has integrated Plum into your Applicant Tracking or other HR systems.
A job may be locked because it is better to make changes to your job requisitions in your ATS and your integration will sync those changes to Plum, making your ATS the “source of truth.” For example, if you change the job title of your job requisition in your ATS, your integration calls Plum through your API and updates the job title in Plum for that same job requisition. The API is built in a way where if you changed the job title in Plum without changing it in your ATS, your ATS may never be notified of this change leaving the two systems out of sync. Locking the job, forces the user to make edits in the appropriate system to guarantee all systems sync properly.
