Plum recommends that applicants take the Discovery Survey as early in your hiring process as possible. Because we're at the “top-of-the-funnel," it makes sense that inviting all of your applicants to complete the assessment should be as automated as possible, especially for higher volume jobs. Unfortunately, some ATS’s do not allow you to setup automation rules on a per pipeline stage basis forcing you to manually move applicants from the newly applied stage to the Plum Invite stage.
If your ATS does not provide any automation rules to automatically send applicants to complete the Discovery Survey upon applying, fear not, Plum has a solution.
In Plum, when viewing a job requisition that has been mirrored from your ATS, you can turn on our Auto-Move functionality that will move new applicants right into Plum Invite so they are sent to the Discovery Survey as soon as possible. If this feature is not already turned on for your account, contact your Plum Customer Success Manager.
Once turned on for your account, there are two ways to implement:
- Turn on Auto-Move on a per-job req basis. This allows you to control if a job should or should not have this turned on. You may have other stages between the newly applied and your Plum stages so you would not want to turn on this feature for those job req’s.
- Or, you can have all of your mirrored job req’s have Auto-Move turned on by default. You will still have the ability to shut it off on a per-job basis, but if you know you are going to be using it for a majority of your jobs, this allows for one less toggle to turn on.
To turn Auto-Move on and off, simply login to Plum and navigate to a job that has been mirrored from your ATS. Click the Job Info tab. From here you will toggle the feature on or off as you require.
Note: As mentioned above, if you have stages in-between the first stage in your pipeline and the Plum Invite stage, you shouldn’t use this feature. Turning this on will push all new applicants into Plum Invite bypassing any of the stages you have placed between new and Plum Invite.
