In this article, we will cover the following topics:
1. The Talent rank-order in your Talent Breakdown
1. The order of the Talents in the Talent Breakdown
In your Talent breakdown, the Talents in the drop-down menu are rank ordered by how likely you are to be driven by them in your work.
Talents that drive you are those that energize you, give you a strong sense of self-worth, and make you perform at an exceptional level, day-in and day-out. Talents that drain you take more energy and are more taxing on you. Just like phone batteries, if you’re constantly spending time on activities that drain you, without getting a chance to recharge, you're going to burn out.
Review your Talents to better understand what drives and
drains you. Within each Talent are a number of behaviors. Plum reveals how naturally these behaviors come to you.
Beside each behavior, you will see an indicator of how likely you are to be driven or drained by that behavior.
2. What do the scales mean in my Talent Guide?
Scales indicate how likely you will be driven or drained by that behavior in your work.
As the scale moves to the right side ( ), the greater the likelihood that that behavior will come naturally to you. The left side of the scale (
) means you may have to work harder at that particular behavior in order to achieve greatness. It does not mean that you are bad at it! The scales are relative only to your own natural inclinations towards certain behaviors. It is not possible to be energized by everything. This is why you will see some behaviors scales displaying the bar to the left side and others, to the right side.
